Can from Uptown Market. 2023 version with fresh Simcoe.
A clear light yellow with a dense white head with excellent retention and lacing. The nose has just a lovely fresh Simcoe character, bright, dank, fruity, mild gooseberry and lychee, mild peach and grape. Minimal malt character. The fresh hop character is well integrated as a part of the blend here, quite inspired if you ask me. While not as immediate as Cole, there's a nice depth. The palate opens with the fresh Simcoe depth with fresh green gooseberry ( it takes me back to my grandma's garden), lychee, and just DANK and oily fresh hops, only the way FH can. Just ridiculous. Oily, dank finish with fresh Simcoe depth present and complementing the non-FH additions. Lovely.
