Can from Mongers.
Side by side with the Schlenkerla Rauchmarzen, this is a few shades lighter with a nice beige head. The nose is equally balanced between the smoke and the marzen notes. Toast, burnt toast, caramel, brown sugar, delicate hops and lots of smoke. Not as much as the Schlenkerla, but you knew that. The palate is creamy, sweet and smoky, delightful. Burnt honey, burnt sugar, toffee. Bready, medium-full mouthfeel. Drying, smoky finish. Delightful.
