Drucilla, named after Evans great grandmother, is our approach at a hoppy little Pale Ale. This beer took a more classic approach to the malt bill with a pilsner base and a dash of caramalt for color and the tiniest bit of sweetness to balance the heavy handed hop charges we did.
Mosaic and Chinook were added on the hot side for a solid citrus foundation before fermenting with our house ale yeast strain, Chico.
The dry hop was mostly Mosaic hops, which we love, and then smaller amounts of Simcoe and our hand selected Chinook from @indiehops for supporting aromas. This beer has an intensely fruity nose of fresh melon, bright orange peel, and a hint of blueberry with a light and dry body that makes this beer a real “thirst quencher™”.
Drucilla seems like she had a blast robbing banks and transporting moonshine across state lines before settling down and becoming an insurance broker. I don’t really know ‘cause I just made that up, but I sure hope it’s true.

On tap at Sidecar Bar in San Diego, CA.
Pretty ripe. Not like a skunks underbelly, or baby Raulita’s diaper after fajitas; but more so just fresh and “there.” Like, it’s the first flower sprung on a spring day in Siberia - believe dat!
Be kind d to nature, my children. And it will be kind to you.
