Poured at fridge temp. Pours a semi-transparent orange with about an inch of white head. The nose is absolutely amazing on this. Grape peels, mineral, funky, sour unripe plums. Just such an intense and fresh array of fruit flavor.
The taste nicely follows the nose. Old musty cellar, leather, vinous, slightly sour, barnyard funk, earth, grapes, ice wine, intense. This is just so different. Such a great intermingling of notes. I'm very impressed.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied and dry. Again that mineral note comes in on the aftertaste, along with a nice layer of sweet and sour. Overall, a great beer.
