On tap at the brewery. Definitely unfiltered, but not enough to be mistaken for a hazy. Straw to golden color with a nice fluff of white on top. 2+ fingers in height slowly settles down to a ring. Decent retention with only slight lacing.
Nose abounds with citrus rind, a hint of pepper spice, and then notes of apricot, guava, mango, and maybe some gooseberry or juniper notes as well. Really inviting.
Flavor is solid. It’s hard to follow the papa that nose but this is still tasty as hell. Again, the citrus rain leads off somewhere between orange, blood orange, and lime. Then tropical notes come in: mango and a little bit of papaya, followed by some melon, grass, and against some juniper. There’s a very subtle herbal peppery note as well.
Mel feels on the lighter side of medium with decent carbonation that keeps things moving around. The finishes slightly bitter and dry.
