Taster at brewery. Milky lavender pour, sparse head. Aroma and taste are lime. Too much lime drowns out any berry presence. Not enough berries, too much lime

not as good as their pineapple coconut sour, but very good, especially for a brand new brewery. the fruit puree character seems decently high quality, but im not saying real fruit for this. a murky pink color, not super appealing to me with all this haze and not much head, but thats the ugliest part of it. it smells like sweet dark berry jam, maybe not specifically blackberry, but appealing and highlighted nicely by the pucker, which seems as much from the acidity of the lime as from any lactic sourness, the lime and the berry together is a smart match. the flavor is solid, good proportions, simple base, wheaty and fluffy without being heavy, but not super well refined overall either. needs more carbonation for sure, but the flavor is good, simple really, just lime and blackberry, very little from the grain or the yeast, the sourness is relatively tidy and restrained to me, not too tart to drink a few of, but maybe a little weak on beer elements too. the lime is more prevalent in the finish. i wish this was cleaned up just a little more, maybe a bit more of the wheat flavor brought up too, but not bad. seems like these guys are willing to try just about anything in here which makes it fun...
