Taster at brewery. Hazy golden pour, sparse head. Light pineapple aroma, mild tartness. Taste brings coconut and for a second, blends well with the pineapple. Then all it reminds you of is suntan oil, with an oily feel to boot.

i think our collective favorite beer from this fun new operation, this is a stronger kettle sour with milk sugar, pineapple, and coconut, and its served all festive and resorty with a pineapple slice and an umbrella, adds to the experience i think, much as i talk smack on the frills. yellow brew with a soft cloudiness and not much body for the higher abv in this style. aroma bursts with pineapple, both fresh and canned, pineapple candy too, pineapple juice, all of it, along with a fleshy untoasted coconut thing right with it, sourness middle of the road but bringing lemon into the mix and highlighting the natural acidity of the pineapple, bold and tropical and definitely with cocktail vibes. the flavor is about the same, and just like their blackberry lime sour, there isnt a whole lot of beer character to this, lacking on the grain side and real contribution, no hops at all, so to me its kind of more juice than beer, but there is a little flavor to the lactic souring that i think keeps it close, and the pineapple and coconut together are just fantastic. probably the best tasting and most unique beer we had in here, but also still not perfect, more carbonation seems necessary to enliven this, and the residual sugar is high enough that maybe id have a second but definitely no more than that. these guys are off to a great start though, and this is fun, summery, unpretentious sour beer. nicely done.
