16oz can, adhesive label. Bottom stamp is 'PKG ON 12/01/25'.
Dark brown colored body, with a deep amber colored back lit edge. Two fingers of tan colored head with the pour, and this becomes an interrupted cap and higher ring. Leaves behind short strings of lacing.
Aroma of rich roasted malts, with a little char, molasses, caramel, and a touch of vanilla.
Taste is bold roasted malts, and nutty sweet. Flavor of molasses that fades to caramel, and touches of chocolate, coffee, dark fruit, and vanilla. Aftertaste fades quickly and ends with the molasses. Roasty, toasty, but a pleasant degree of bitterness.
Medium mouthfeel. Has a mineral note. Very dry finish, leaves the mouth famished after every sip. Very good carbonation.
Very expressive dark lager, with rewarding smells and flavors.

Clear dark brown brew with plenty of beige foam in the Rochefort chalice. Mild aroma of cereal with some dark notes. Clean and roasty with some bitterness lingering in the aftertaste. This is a better than average Schwarzbier in my experience. It's got plenty of dark grainy taste with some burnt sugar. It's even malty with a little richness, and slightly sweet. This goes into the Stout territory, but I like it better than the dry and watery variety. Bitter, though. From the 16 oz can purchased at O'Shea Brewing.
