A Tropical Blonde this is called and it is true to form. It is very pleasant to drink in this tropical climate near the Great Barrier Reef. Macalister is only 8 years old but has a strong core of brews and some 20+ seasonal in their portfolio, including two cask conditioned. Macalister has managed to ply the tourist trade despite being 20 miles north of Cairns. The founders of the firm (a Mom and Pop shop) may be following their bliss, but tourists to this muggy climate need all the flavourful refreshment they can get. For that future, I give Macalister good Overall Hugs.
Latitude 17 Looks only slightly above average, difficult to make a lasting foam in this climate. Smells are aromatic citrus and tropical fruit punch. Tastes are balanced in that the hops linger in the finish. Medium-mouthed in a light style. Have a second to replenish your fluids.
