Snuck over to Seek Beer Company for a quick flight before heading to North Park. It was my third time going to Seek and I liked their offerings each time. This was the first time I purchased cans, though. Picked up a can after giving a 5-oz. taster of this a 4.25 while writing “Top-shelf haze. Excellent.” Only description was “Riwaka & Citra.”
Poured a medium-golden hazy color with two fingers of rocky-to-frothy white head. Could see plenty of slow-moving bubbles creeping up along the sides of the glass. Perfect spiderweb foamy lacing. Perfect foamy retention. (Sight - 5.00)
Smelled Riwaka, Citra, grapefruit, pineapple, orange, tangerine, herbal, mango, guava and grass. About as good from the can. (Smell - 4.00)
First thing I noticed is that it didn’t taste quite as good as the night before on draft. In order got Riwaka, Citra, grapefruit, pineapple, orange, tangerine, peach, mango, guava, pink lemonade, passion fruit, herbal and earthy malt. (Taste - 4.25)
Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Long, tropical finish. (Feel - 4.50)
Not quite as good as last night on draft but still excellent. Riwaka really shined here and I could see myself liking this more down the road. (Overall - 4.25)
