Very well crafted dark Lager.
Well balanced and light on the palate, easy drinking.
The grain bill is crafted to almost perfection, with no single grain addition jumping out.
My son who really doesn't drink beer even likes this one.
Highly recommend.

Had on lukr. Pitch black opaque body with a large khaki colored head with webs of lacing abounding. Smell and taste both have absolutely wonderful roasty malt with significant cocoa. Smell has toast and earth, taste has that plus pumpernickel and a kiss of charred vanilla bean. Feel is a tick lighter than expected, but so smooth and full with roasty and malty starring textures

From a 12oz can dated "BB" 1/30/25 into a pint glass. Can message: Cold lager warm hearts
Pours an opaque black with about one finger of tan head. Decent retention and lacing.
Nose is getting some black coffee and bakers chocolate.
Taste is a nice mix of the dark malts (coffee, roast, dark chocolate) lager breadiness-definitely favoring the malts. Light bitterness.
Medium-bodied, wet mouthfeel. Low to medium carbonation. Light bitter chocolate aftertaste.
Really nice beer.

12oz can served in a footed pilsner glass. Can is dated BB 11/15/24. @jonphisher sent it to me.
Pours dark, basically black, with a big tan head. Smell is dark roast coffee, almost char.
Taste is similar -- heavy roast, light black licorice sweetness, some grain tea in the background, bordering on char.
Mouthfeel is light, almost watery. Overall, nice, tasty beer.

12oz can purchased from the fridge as a 12-pack for $29.99 plus tax. Not sure exactly when this was canned but it must be fresh. Underneath the can it says BB: 1/30/25 COLD LAGER WARM HEARTS. My guess is that this was canned on 7/30/24 and they gave a 6-month best by, which would make this almost two months old.
Look: It's basically a perfect pour. Looks very impressive! The head generation and retention is really impressive. There was a two- to three- fingers of cafe-au-lait head upon pouring. That head was towering above my lager glass and holding for a while. Eventually, it reduced to a half-finger layer and it is holding tight. The beer is very dark brown in color with cherry wood highlights.
Smell: Very nice aromas - it has a bit of a sweetness/creaminess to it. Overall, it's very nutty and malty and there are nice roasty notes trailing behind with a mild coffee flavor. I get nice dark chocolate notes and a very nice hazelnut note. There's a bit of almond and vanilla also. It smells really nice. Overall simple, yet there is a lot of nuance and complexity within.
Taste: Very tasty. Up front, this actually reminds me a bit of Guinness Draught; however, there is more complexity and flavor here and the styles do have some similarities yet they are obviously different. Up front, there is a nice roasted grain maltiness with a bit of acidity. The beer is on the thin side, to be expected for only 4% ABV. The beer finishes dry with more roast and a bit of charcoal that adds to the complexity and drinkability. I also get a nice subtle licorice note on the finish, along with less subtle dark chocolate and coffee. Pretty cool that the beer also has a nice chewiness on the finish. A mild hoppiness (cascade?) lingers on the finish.
Feel: It's on the lighter side of medium bodied. Given that it's only 4% ABV, it's not so behind the pack in terms of being a bit thin. Nice creamy mouthfeel from the carbonation on the palate.
Overall: I haven't had so many Czech Dark Lagers. It's definitely a style that I enjoy. Even though I haven't had so many yet, this one seems like it's world class to me. It's made really well. Very tasty and super drinkable. Simple, yet complex. Good to the last drop!

Pours the darkest of brown as it pours, in glass appears black; substantial creamy mocha colored had, very good retention, sheets of lace from initial pour; this is really one beautiful pouring and looking beer.
Nose is bakers chocolate, light ash, light roast; gently burnt notes; some hop presence as it warms.
The taste is very impressive; the malt is rich but shy of overbearing; mostly the same baker’s chocolate, all the roast and toast from the nose blend with a gentle bread quality that finishes with a lick of hops; if forced to describe I’d say they carry a very light spice quality but ends with earthy qualities.
Mouthfeel is so smooth, soft, with a really noticeable creamy carbonation; light body, high drinkability; the creaminess is met with a nice bitterness on the finish that to me really enhances said drinkability; it has quite the finish, a lovely marriage of residual malt sweetness that ever so slowly dries out into nothingness.
