Light caramel and sweet malt with a slightly toasty finish. Very low bitterness.

RIP to Billy's Red Room that I visited many times and opened in 1933. They had a fire in late 2017 and was torn down in June 2018. Now it is just a gravel area surrounded by the parking lot, you'd never know it was there. Visited Double Tap that is partially run by someone I remember from my childhood. Had to grab a crowler of this in remembrance to the Red Room since the draft had kicked. Pours with a nice lite froth, dark amber. Clean malt, easy drinking and crushable. Proper carbonation. I was very impressed by all the beers at DT.

Named for an iconic bar that used to be located across the street from the brewery. Pint pour on draught at the brewery. It pours a dark iced tea color with a modest head and thick, clinging lacing. Its nose offers caramel, cola, and nutty char. The taste is more complex with a deep malty depth of flavor that balances the initial tartness. It's a flavorful ale. The mouth feel is crisp and lite with appropriate carbonation. At 5.5% ABV it's an easy drinker. Overall, Red Room is a very good Irish Red. While it's not the best Irish Red I've had it's nonetheless quite good. I'd recommend that everyone who can give this one a try.
