Double Tap Brewing

Pint pour on draught at the brewery. Served in a tulip glass. It pours an opaque, dusty orange color with a thin, milky cap and thick, clinging lacing. Its smell features lemon peel, grapefruit, pineapple, and herbal spicy, peppery. The taste opens with tart lemon and grapefruit over a solid, earthy malt base with a strong dose of resinous pine. As it warms it sweetens with notes of pineapple and perhaps ripe melon. There is a sharp, clean bitterness throughout and a bit of hop burn at the finish. It's medium-bodied and creamy and the 8% ABV gives it good substance. Overall, I'm impressed by this recipe. Nuggets of Wisdom is well-conceived and executed and I'm confident that each subsequent release will improve on what is already a fine IPA. The brewery will be canning it soon and I'm looking forward to drinking it outside the brewery.
