Pint on draught at the brewery. It pours an opaque, muddy orange with a modest cap of milk-white foam and lots of soapy lacing. Very similar in appearance to the original Nuggets of Wisdom. Its smell includes lemon, grapefruit, a hint of pineapple, herbal spice, and just a whiff of Habanero pepper. The pepper is much more evident in the taste and adds some fire that balances the tart lemon and grapefruit, pine sap, and sweet pineapple. This ale is medium-bodied and pleasantly carbonated. The ABV of the 2025 release was increased to 8.3% and it has a nice kick. While I'm not a big fan of Habanero pepper in IPAs, Spicy Nugz achieves the brewer's goal. It has a touch of fire.
