On draught at the brewery. Served in a snulip glass. It's a dense, murky, tangerine color with an impressive, super creamy, bright white cap and lots sudsy lacing. The smell is fruity and floral with notes of pineapple, lemon, peach, melon, and fragrant flowery hops. The flavor is big and bold. The Citra and Galaxy hops provide big, clean citrus flavors of pineapple, lemon, and grapefruit, augmented by ripe melon. The Nectaron adds sweet tropical notes. I don't know whether the brewery added oats or lactose but there is an additional sweetness beyond the fruit. There is little compensating hop bitterness. The mouth feel is impressive: luxuriously thick and creamy with moderate carbonation, and you can easily feel the 9.5% ABV. Overall, Terrible Twos is a lovely, big, fruity Imperial IPA and a fitting way to celebrate Double Tap's second anniversary.
