Double Tap Brewing

Pint pour on draught at the brewery. Served in a tulip glass. It is a hazy and the cherry-orange color is unusual. It sports a thin, ecru head and thick, soapy lacing. Initially there wasn't much to the nose but as it warmed the smell emerged with sweet malt and an intriguing whiff of dark fruit. Its taste features a nice balance of sweet, bready malt and sharp hoppy bitterness, along with notes of what I can best describe as black cherry or currant. The mouth feel is pleasingly thick and creamy with moderate carbonation, and the 9.2% ABV is noticeable. Overall, Strong Finish is not a typical local brewery option and I compliment Double Tap for devoting the time and attention to make it. It is tasty and thoroughly enjoyable.
