Barrel-aged version of Double Tap's Leg Day. Aged for nine months in a rye whiskey barrel. Bold rye spice, silky vanilla sweetness, and a beautiful charred oak depth.

On draught at the brewery. Served in a snulip glass. It pours a murky, dark brown color with a full finger cap of fluffy, light khaki head and minimal lacing. It is highly effervescent. The smell includes roasted malt, brown sugar, raisin, cherry, and lots of rye whiskey. Its taste is very much rye whiskey forward. Beneath is roasted malt, earthy char, and modest raisin and fig, which emerges more as the ale warms. It is fairly bitter at the finish. I think it has more depth of flavor than the base ale, Leg Day. The mouth feel is moderately creamy and more carbonated than I expected. I can feel the heat of the 12% ABV. Overall, Thigh Gravity is a tasty treat. I had hoped for a barrel-aged version of Leg Day and this variant doesn't disappoint.
