I had this at the brewery. Cask pour. It is dark walnut with cola hues, and has a half finger of creamy, light khaki head and thick lacing. A very attractive pour. The smell includes roasted malt, chocolate, caramel, nuts, tobacco smoke, and earthy char. Love the taste! Roasted malt and chocolate balanced by the rye in the grist. It's chalky and nutty with a hint of caramel. Excellent depth of flavor. A fine mouth feel: nicely creamy and easy to drink at 5.1% ABV. Overall, Rack and Pinion is a terrific American Porter and serving it on cask enhances an already great experience. Fine job by Double Tap.
