Pint pour on draught at the brewery. It pours a cloudy, orange-bronze with a modest cap of ecru-colored foam and lacing. The smell includes sweet malt, rye, farmhouse spicing, and the unique smell of juniper. It is a very tasty ale with notes of bready malt, pine/juniper, clove, coriander, banana, and some red berry. It is well-balanced and flavorful. It is moderate in body and carbonation, and the 7.8% ABV gives it good substance. Overall, I give Double Tap a lot of credit for brewing this obscure style of ale and they really did a very good job with it. It is a small, experimental batch and I hope to be able to drink it again before it is gone.
