Crowler with no fill date (possibly filled ~8/20/22); consumed on 9/3/22
Pours a foggy, pale gold body capped with two fingers of fluffy, eggshell-white foam; solid head retention leaves a slim layer of cap, larger, frothy collar, and a limited array of webby lacing painted firmly against the walls of the glass.
Aroma opens to honey and underlying yeasty esters before rounding out notes of creamed corn into soft clove, banana peel, and touches of minerality as white toast intermingles with straw fading over time.
Taste brings white toast with a faint minerality into rounded, yeasty esters imparting toasty clove; distant banana peel over the mid-palate feeds tinges of floral vanilla lingering through slightly more predominant straw on the finish.
Mouthfeel features a light body and a fluffy, full carbonation dispersing an airy prickle drying over the mid-palate and steadily thinning to a largely clean, easy close.
Solid clove presence counters prominent yeastiness, the foundation for a rounded yet light presentation carrying the subtle details of intermittent sweetness.
