The brewer describes this as "an American-style wheat beer brewed with pineapple and piloncillo sugar." The inspiration is from a slightly fermented pineapple drink from Mexico, also called Tepache.
Pours a clear golden color with a modest foam. Spritzy with a club soda mouthfeel. Aroma is canned peaches. Flavor is more appealing-- pineapple with some peach and melon. It's sweet and also a little tangy. Quite a drinkable and refreshing fruity brew, though it actually sounds better than it is. On tap at the El Cajon tasting room.
