Copper color with orange and gold reflections, abundant ivory foam and persistent ocher color. Caramel, candied sugar, biscuit, banana, plum, apricot, honey, spicy nose. On the palate a sweet entry that reflects the olfactory bouquet with the addition of dried nuts and dates. Dry and hoppy finish on herbaceous and earthy paths. Medium and soft body that elbows amicably with a high sparkle. Abv hidden as only the Belgian school can do.

De color ámbar, con un cuello espumoso de retención media. Cuerpo y carbonatación media. Aroma a malta caramelizada y toffee. En boca es una cerveza agridulce, muy agradable y con un final seco.

Pours a deep, dark amber coloration with a ruby hue and a medium, fluffy head. Smell is quite sweet, with caramel malt, brown sugar and toffee dominating, as well as some lighter fruity accents of red/dark fruits and estery spice coming through, with notes of fig, redcurrant and clove. Taste follows the nose, with the sweet caramel malt, toffee and brown sugar dominating, but some slightly more accentuated dark/red fruits: fig, redcurrant and estery fruit and spice: red apple, clove coming through as well. Finishes sweetly, with a very light bitterness and some toffee and fruity notes lingering in the aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.
With it's toffee sweetness and estery red apple notes, this has a certain candy apple feel to it, which is nicely balanced by some more dark and red fruits and estery spice, preventing this from becoming quite too cloyingly sweet. While it's still a bit too sweet for my personal taste, I would say that it's still a rather nice example of a Belgian Amber Ale, not sure how well it really fits as a Belgian Strong Pale Ale.

Amber with a lasting 0.5 cm head. Lacing is good.
The typical Dupont yeast hits you at first, soured milk and fresh baked buns, followed by caramel malts and just a hint of smoke.
The taste is very much like the smell. The carbonation perfectly balanced. The 8.5% ABV barely noticable.
A very nice addition to the Moinette line up.
