from Dupont's website --
Fomo is a tasting beer, organic and gluten-free, brewed to suit people with coeliac disease. It also meets a growing demand from consumers who are mindful of their well-being and keen to limit their gluten intake, without compromising on a beer with character.
Its name refers to ‘Fear Of Missing Out’, the fear of missing out on something. A deliberate nod to a segment that is still under-represented in the world of craft beers.

Try Fomo. If you can't find it, try again and again until you find it. (With only 149 Uniques and Totals on UnTappd, it's my fair guess Fomo mostly is in Belgium. But I copped the last copy from London's Hop Burns & Black, who must have an inside importer. Anyhow, anyway and by any means necessary, find yours.

As another introductory note (I copied the Description on BA's heading from Dupont's website), but they had another paragraph Dupont devotees may appreciate. I didn't include it for its length, yet it goes thus: "How to enjoy it. This blonde beer has a dry, balanced profile, carried by a pleasant fruitiness. Cereal notes come through fully, alongside the typical characteristics of Dupont beers, linked to the yeast and brewing techniques. The bitterness, derived from Hallertau Mittelfrüh and Spalter Select hops, contributes to the freshness of Fomo."

After all that, what I think about the beer seems paltry, amateurish. (But BA conventions are to review; here's mine.)

Fomo Looks like its from pedigree with its big, luscious head and cloudy blond bod. The yeast seems to create the same excitement in its Smells, mostly tart apples that you'd bake with and, for effect, finished with a slash of citrus. Tastes are close to what I expect from these masters. But they still have work to do. After all, this gluten-free is still a new process. But Fomo is one of the best I've had. It is well on its way to Dupont's trademark dry finish. Feel is exuberant and cleanses my palate. I put it to my standard test with my vegetable stew and this could become an excellent complement to food.

Now for full disclosure, I am a Dupont Saison devotee. On UnTappd's Loyal Drinkers, I am #5 and that doesn't include drinking it for two previous decades before I started counting on UnTappd. But if you want as objective an opinion as I can muster about Fomo, it is this: at my age (in my mid-70s), thrills don't come that often and Fomo is almost a thrill. A second copy side-by-side with its master Saison may be too much thrill for me to handle. A Sante' !
