On tap at the brewpub. Cloudy darkened amber, this is fairly well carbonated and the head retains nicely. It seems to be an amber ale base with pumpkin pie spices. The nose has a ginger/nutmeg spiciness, backed by brown sugar and caramelized malt. Spices are strong on the palate as well, almost to the point of being astringent and tannic. There's moderate malt sweetness to bring some balance, and a decent hop kick in the finish. This is inoffensive stuff, but it's not a great pumpkin ale. The spices are overdone.
