A: Pours a dark red color, with a beige head that forms. The foam recedes to a ring with light lace left behind.
S: A ton of caramel malts. Almost no nuance, just that caramel malt aroma and sugars.
T: Caramel malt again, caramelized/residual sugars and super sweet overall. This becomes cloying and unbalanced to say the least.
M/O: A light to medium body. Moderate carbonation that becomes syrupy and sticky. This becomes more of a chore to finish.
Just as generic and by the books sweet, caramel malty character as you can get. No bitterness, no esters (which might have given it a more unique Irish/UK flair), not any other kind of malt flavors...just sickly sweet, and again no balance. I'm not sure what makes this "Irish" either, but whatever. Not something I'll recommend.
