Poured from a growler. Pours a dark golden amber with a big and frothy off white head that retains well and leaves some lacing.
The aroma is smoky peat and sweet caramel.
The flavor is more of the same...sweet caramel followed by a smoky bitterness. The mouthfeel is smooth and velvety but a little watery.
Overall, it was a decent beer. It had good scotch qualities. It was more bitter than I was expecting.
