The brewer hit his mark with this one!!! The beer poured a copper clear with no head and no lacing. The scent carried lime and chili powder. The taste was very spicing, reminding me of mild red peppers....that lingered through the taste. The mouthfeel was medium in body with low carbonation. Overall it was a very tasty beer....not sure I would want to drink a lot of it as the pepper spice would probably get old.

Pours an amber hued body, slightly hazy, with a foamy white head. Distinctive smoke and chili aroma. Smoked malt flavors with a slight chili edge and even slighter hint of lime in the aftertaste. Light bodied, crisp, clean, with a dry finish.
An interesting smoked chili beer idea. A good beer that, taste-wise, doesn't quite live up to the promise held in the smell. Still, it has some decent, subtle flavors of smoke and chili, is easy drinking as such, and is certainly worth checking out if rauchbiers or chili beers hold your interest.

22 oz bottle. Pours slightly hazy golden orange with a small white head that quickly goes to a thin collar that leaves little lacing.
The aroma is big smokey mesquite, some chipotle and a bit of citric lime. Smells like fancy BBQ chips.
The flavor is a bit subdued and watery - I get smokey mesquite and a little chipotle with a sweet malt backbone. The finish has a little burn from the chili, and I don't really pick up lime. The mouthfeel is medium bodied and quite watery.
Overall, an interesting mix of flavors, but it's overly watery and not something I would drink more than one of.
