Taster flight at Timber Town. Brown pour, small, bubbly tan head. Roasty aroma, bitter. Taste is roasty malts, burnt toast, nutty. Smooth and clean porter.

I had this beer on-tap in a pint glass at the brewery in Priest River.
Appearance: rich, super dark brown hue with a thin layer of tan foam atop. A pretty straightforward porter.
Smell: nutty, malty, and rather sweet. Kind of like a sweetish brown ale; not a lot of roast. But there’s definitely a porter in there somewhere.
Taste: quite sweet, with a caramelly, nutty, molasses flavor; it’s not super roasty or chocolatey, but it’s nice. I think you might call this a ruby porter maybe?
Mouthfeel: medium-rich body with a good carbonation and creaminess. Silky smooth.
Overall: a decent, if sweet, porter. Perhaps it’s just this particular interpretation of the style, but I tend to prefer drier and roastier.
