16oz can served in a curvy Monhegan pint glass. Don't see a date. Bought it 12 days ago.

Pours mostly clear dark yellow, thick creamy head. Plenty of carbonation. Smell is fruity, banana and pineapple. Moderate to strong fruit skin bitterness, makes me think of mango skin.

Taste is moderate sweetness, a bit stronger bitterness, west coast vibes with some extra green bite.

Mouthfeel is medium bodied, moving towards thick, but avoiding sticky. OVerall, pretty solid WC IPA, pretty decent fresh hop character.

Freshed Coast—2024 edition, Strata fresh hop ipa.

Westy can pour with a heady top. I can tell this is a banger immediately. Aroma pops, and the sip absolutely slaps. (Greetings, fellow young people!) so much fresh hop goodness on this, thick and sticky, with a long lasting finish. Yum!

Clear amber in the snifter with plenty of foam. This is highly aromatic with that distinctive mix of peach and dankness. Light, lively, and spritzy on the tongue. Actually tastes like strawberry with some bitter citrus plus peach. Really fruity, some malty sweetness, and very appealing. There is a moderate bitter aftertaste which is actually quite pleasant with all the fruit and the sweetness. Overall this is highly sippable, if quite a mouthful of flavor. FFrom the 16 oz can purchased at Bridge and Tunnel Bottleshop in Astoria. Not dated.

Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a medium golden amber with some coppery notes and a fine, two finger white head with great retention and solid lacing; looks nice. Aroma of lightly caramel malt, dank and tropical fruit hops, herbal dankness, berries and green melon. Flavor is mildly caramel malt, dank and tropical fruit hops, passion fruit, grapefruit, orange and 420 dankness; solid dank and fruit bitterness in the finish. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess. An excellent use of the Strata hops, which is starting to be one of my favorite single hop varieties. Nice fresh hop herbal character and a supportive malt makes this a standout fresh hop IPA. I'm now remembering last year's fresh hop season where each sequential ale was my favorite of the season and that's happening again. Enjoyable.

Look: Medium, almost burnt orange and clear with a lively white head that catapults to the rim and slowly settles to a lid, leaving copious amounts of lacing behind
Aroma: I could smell it on the pour. Ripe and juicy ruby-red grapefruit, freshly cut Cannabis flowers – both diesel and fruit-forward, lemons, pithy tangerines, and some skunky notes
Taste: Starts off like I chewed on a handful of orange and grapefruit flesh and rind and quickly transitions to the same feeling but with raw hop cones. Layers of fruity, gassy, and skunky Cannabis unfold as it develops and citrus continues to be in the mix through the close, which comes with a nice bite
Mouthfeel: Full, medium-high carbonation, and lightly dry on the finish
Overall: This is some really tasty stuff. Hetty Alice is pretty new to me so I wanted to see how they handle fresh hops and can say, I’m impressed. Strata is easily one of the most Cannabis-dominate varietals in my opinion and experience and this beer showcases that aspect in its full glory, along with the pithy citrus component also found in Strata. If you’re on the fence with Strata’s profile, this one may not be your cup of tea but those that are, like me, are in for a treat

Canned 9/11, from Uptown Market.

A crystal clear orange with a dense, white head with good retention and lacing. The nose is bright with lovely fresh Strata, dank and tropical. Minimal malt. The palate opens with a lovely Strata character with a moderate amount of fresh hop notes. A rich hop palette, dank, fruity, tropical with mild pine. Clean as a whistle, this beer finishes dry and bitter. Nice oily hops on the finish.
