355 mL can from the brewpub; no canning date. Served slightly chilled. Good thing I bought two cans, because the first one gushed and there wasn't a whole lot left afterwards.

Pours hazy and turbid, its golden orange-hued body crowned with more than two fingers of billowing, lumpy white head that lasts for the better part of ten minutes. It cakes the glass with gobs of lacing as it drops down to a generous cap and collar - looks fantastic so far. The nose is tropical and citrusy - I'm getting passion fruit, papaya and mandarin orange, with hints of grapefruit and pineapple.

A tasty IPA featuring fruity, juicy dry hop flavours, without a whole lot of bitterness. Flavours of orange, passion fruit and pineapple develop early on, with grapefruit and mango not far behind. Hints of earthy, dirty hop bitterness flit across the taste buds towards the back end, but tropical fruits and citrus are what linger through the finish and briefly into the aftertaste, which trends off-dry. Medium-full in body with low carbonation, probably because it exhausted itself so quickly; feels smooth and a little on the flat side. I still found it quite drinkable.

Final Grade: 3.75, a B+. Huron Hazy IPA is not significantly better or worse than your average LCBO-stocked alternative. If I were a local, I might be picking this up semi-regularly - it really is a pretty nice hazy IPA, so it's a real shame about the gusher. I'm not even going to blame the brewery itself, as they've only been open for a few months and might not even be doing their own canning at this point. This is one I plan to re-visit in the near-ish future.
