355 mL can from the brewery; no canning date and served slightly chilled.
Pours a foggy pale golden colour, stirring up less than a finger of loose, bubbly white froth that sizzles away within sixty seconds or so. A paper-thin collar is the only survivor, with no cap or noticeable lace production. Basic aroma of cereal grains, bready malts and little else.
It tastes fine for what it is, with more (malt) flavour than a macro light beer. Grainy pale malts and bread at the forefront, with a subtle Rice Krispies sweetness going on; not much else to report beyond that. Finishes crisp and lightly malty, with a grainy rice sweetness persisting momentarily into the aftertaste. Light in body, with moderately assertive carbonation that adds some bite to this lager's smooth mouthfeel; supremely easy to gulp back, like any decent light lager ought to be.
Final Grade: 3.51, a respectable B grade. Point Brewing's Lite Street Lager - which is, conveniently enough, named after the street that the brewery is located on - is a competent and unremarkable light beer. While it's clearly better than Bud/Coors Light, it's hardly a stand-out if you're considering it amongst other craft brewed light lagers. It's not going to be knocking many socks off, but if I were a local, and if I also drank light beer on a regular basis, this would be a perfectly acceptable go-to option. Good work.
