Fresh Hop Table Lager
Tago Mago is our fresh hop table lager that we brewed in collaboration with our friends at Hildegard. We brewed this fresh hop table lager with a blend of the best pilsner malts, flaked spelt and a large portion of rice sugar. Tago Mago was hopped in the kettle with Lorien, Zumo and El Dorado and was fermented with our house lager strain. This table lager was dry hopped with more Zumo and El Dorado and was cold-infused with freshly harvested hops.

Pours a cloudy pale leaning straw, white head; sticky and clumpy islands, good cling.
Zippy nose; pops with all sort of bright grassy character, green stem character; lemon rind, and straw.
Taste is full of that same green stem, rind, a unique acidic lean hint of citrus, saison-y, but not...very unique and different; adds to its refreshing nature...
Light, prickly and very bright mouth on this beer; it gives that desire to say "aahhhh" after each sip; theres some bitterness and distinct sticky character.

Pours clear light yellow with a small head, moderate carbonation. Smell is bright and floral, lots of grass and leaves, something very green about the aroma. Little earthiness, something that reminds me of green wood.
Taste is earthy more than funky, slight hint of funk. Something kind of sweet but hard to pin down. Almost makes me think of turbinado. Hops come across more as a firm tap on the shoulder than a slap across the face. Hard to miss, but missable if you're distracted enough.
Mouthfeel is extremely light, clean, smooth. Overall, nice, tasty, interesting beer.
