Purchased a 500 ML bottle at the Milton tasting room.
L: Pours a transparent deep gold. No real head, just a light smattering of bubbles.
S: Barnyard funk, orange and lemon zest, fresh cut grass
T: More tart than the nose lets on. Notes of horse blanket, lemon, honey, with some herbal character. Summery.
F: Medium bodied and very dry. Aftertaste lingers. There’s a bit of alcohol burn, which makes this less drinkable.
O: I think this would be much better as a 7-8% beer. At a 10% ABV, it’s just not what I’m looking for in a summery saison.
