simple beer but less can be more, and this ends up being a nicely textured and full character cereal grain forward brew that presents as drinkable, agricultural, rustic without lacking refinement, and overall is very drinkable, one of their better beers for my money in here, real well built. very light haze as is fine in wheat beers, a soft orange look to it and a tall white head with foamy lace. the aroma is well grounded, not quite nutty but earthy, toasted without being sweet, very minimal on yeast and hops, this one is about the grain and it seems like the water chemistry is dialed in to max out the flavor contribution of these grains. the rye is subtle, but its there. the flavor is more expressive than the nose, there is a lovely freshness to it all, fresh milled, fresh baked, just off dry overall but this doesnt rely on residual sweetness for flavor enhancement at all, more rye spice than i can smell, that dark rye flour character in here too, very subtle citrus giving it some life, good carbonation, fluffy body from all the wheat, neither too pale or too cooked, and overall a lovely pint of beer for all four seasons. maybe my second favorite in here behind the dynamite chocolate stout, and the first plain wheat type to really get me stoked in as long as i can remember, really well done.

Taster at Danelion. Cloudy golden pour, thin foamy white head. Fruity aroma, rye spiciness. Taste brings a healthy dose of rye character, with a nice bready feel.
