another unique beer from our visit to the impressive black canyon! this one is a basic blonde type but jazzed up with pineapple and coconut, way more coconut than pineapple in nose and taste, but light sweetness and also some tartness and acid from the pineapple, suggesting the use of real fruit in here. pale yellow brew with a one inch white head from the tap, a tropical nose right away. the coconut seems fleshy and fresh, and quite robust in the nose, the pineapple at this point is kind of candied, crushed from the can vibes, but also with a light pucker to it, summery and kind of floral, a white note, a bit more pale malt than expected, but its not heavy or anything, strong vacation vibes. the flavor is coconut forward, its the first and last thing i taste, the ferment is clean so the coconut really pops on the back end too, the pineapple is natural, concentrated in the middle of this, and the grain keeps it beery enough. this is good, but its also pretty flavored, so im not sure its an all day beer for me, even if i like the taste a lot, not as subtle as some of their others, more new school, but overall well executed and fun, the coconut and pineapple together are nice. we had a wonderful time checking this place out, highly recommended!
