Poured into a Fremont small snifter. Pours a very dark mahogany brown, appearing opaque in the glass with a one finger dark khaki head with great retention and good lacing. Aroma of dark toasted malt, cocoa, mild graham cracker and a touch of mineral. Flavor is dark toasted malt with moderate char, coffee, cocoa and licorice. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess. A roasty dark stout with some coffee and cocoa and a strong black licorice note, especially in the finish. Somewhat of an amped up export stout profile. Solid, but could use a little balance with the cocoa flavors.
