Consumed March 3rd, 2010 at the brewery.
Medium to dark honey color with a fine ring of white foam still in evidence several minutes after pouring. Active carbonation evidenced by lots of tiny bubbles rising to the top throughout consumption.
No aroma.
Proper ESB flavor, which is to say slightly sweet caramel malts, light pitted fruit flavor (raisin?) and slightly bitter on the clean finish. Balanced, as it should be.
Unremarkable mouthfeel.
A sessionable ESB, though no competition for the ones whose names you know.
