This dank and juicy West Coast-style IPA is a resinous hop lover's dream. It's "bine ripened" with copious amounts of Equinox, Simcoe & Citra. 7.1% abv, 65 IBUs.

Misc.: Bottled on Oct. 16, 2017; Bine & Vine’s Sixth Anniversary Beer
Picked this up on my monthly visit to Bine & Vine, along with a bunch of other stuff. Was psyched to try another anniversary beer related to Bine & Vine. My favorite thing about Bine & Vine is how fresh they get some of their IPAs. Often times bottled that day from El Segundo and very recent from Beachwood. Bottle description read, ”This dank and juicy West Coast-style IPA is a resinous hop lover's dream. It's "bine ripened" with copious amounts of Equinox, Simcoe & Citra. 7.1% abv, 65 IBUs. Poured a gold-to-light amber clear color with 2-to-3 fingers of frothy white head. Lots of bubble streams coming up along the sides of the glass. Outstanding uneven lacing. Outstanding retention. (Sight - 4.25)
Smelled Citra and Simcoe up front, but not Equinox, which I admit I’m a little rusty on. Specifically got caramel candy, herbal, lemon zest, green leaf, orange blossom, orange rind, pineapple, pine, dank resin and hints of buttered popcorn (not in an infected way). Best smell was the first whiff. (Smell - 3.75)
Taste was slightly better than the nose. Got caramel candy, Simcoe, herbal, green leaf, bitter pine, resin, orange rind, Citra, eucalyptus, lemon, lime zest, guava and melon. (Taste - 4.00)
Medium body. Creamy texture. Lively carbonation. Abrupt malty finish. (Feel - 4.00)
A solid, old school IPA. (Overall - 4.00)

Poured from 22oz bottle into Spiegelau IPA glass. No date.
L: Pours a clear gold, perfect two and a half finger off-white head is tightly bubbled, has great retention and the lacing is
thick and has good stick.
S: As soon as I started pouring, I was met by some dank pine and refreshing citrus hop aroma. There are also notes of berry-like fruit and herbal leaf.
T: Not very aggressive bitterness. Initially, a wave of dank pine rolls across the tongue followed closely by some leafy herbal notes, and then a citrus burst which mellows into a lingering berry flavor. Quite a blast of hop flavor. The malt is there and noticeable yet very hidden.
F: Light-Medium body, crisp, lingering astringency of berry notes.
O: Not a bad beer at all but I have had better. Happy Anniversary to the best Beer Store in San Diego!

This is the annual anniversary beer made for Bine & Vine beer store in San Diego. It pours an orange-tinted amber with plenty of white foam in the Crooked Line tulip. Lovely aroma of honeysuckle and citrus. Melon and hot pine flavors. Fairly alcohol tasting.
Modest light malt flavor with plenty of sweetness. Fairly acidic. Bitter aftertaste in the usual IPA vein. This is a classic, just over the top enough and full of clean massive hop flavors. From the 22 oz bottle purchased at Bine & Vine (where else?).
