Glass: Pure Project 16-oz. snifter glass
Price: $4.29
From: Windmill Farms in Del Cerro (San Diego), Calif.
Purchased: Aug. 7, 2021
Consumed: Aug. 7, 2021
Misc.: Canned on July 14, 2021
Snuck over to Windmill Farms for a lunch break from work, just to see if they had anything new since my last trip there. Came across this one, which was labeled on Bine & Vine’s website as “Our 10th anniversary WCDIPA! Cosmically impossible amounts of double dry hopping w/Strata, Mosaic, Idaho 7, Ekuanot, & Sultana.”
Poured a light amber clear color with 2-to-3 fingers of frothy off-white head. Plenty of bubbles coming up from the bottom of the glass. Excellent uneven foamy lacing. Excellent foamy retention. (Sight - 4.50)
Strata jumped out on the nose. Also pine, diesel, Sultana (reviewing the hop profile), green vegetable, Ekuanot, viney berry, onion and garlic. Even better out of the can. (Smell - 4.25)
Taste wasn’t quite as good as the nose but close. In order got Strata, pine, black pepper, diesel, onion, garlic, Sultana (looking at the hop profile), viney berry, red grapefruit and passion fruit. Kind of smooth for 10 pct. ABV. (Taste - 4.00)
Medium body. Oily texture. Average carbonation. Long, bitter finish. (Feel - 4.50)
Just another great West Coast IPA (in this case TIPA) from Beachwood. (Overall - 4.25)
