really good west coast style done with beachwood, who rules in everyway. i know less about urban roots, but i like what ive had. love the name of this, mosaic, cryo mosaic, and strata here, clear and golden, really bright in the glass, new school with so little malt depth to it, but i like the simplicity there, the overall freshness, and the uncompromised hop forwardness, excellent overall, crazy drinkable, and they have gotten a lot out of these varietals. this is listed under both breweries but in my mind it was made at urban roots, not sure why i think that, maybe thats how the beer menu was written where i had it. aroma is robust and interesting for known varietals, coconut, white peach, candied or dehydrated pineapple, very juicy without being citrusy in the classic sense, which adds intrigue i think. the grain is crackery and mineral forward and simple, dry or near it, and the ferment appears neutral. the bitterness is late onset and not real significant, even though they call it west coast style, its not all that bitter, at least not disproportionately so, i found this approachable as these go. some tropical flavors from these hops as it warms, early papaya or guava from the cryo, a little weedy dankness in the middle but not skunky or anything, and with some canned mandarin orange as well, nice flow, nice pace, real light body and with good carbonation, drinks lighter than its stated abv, and is insanely fresh, that aspect totally pops in here. the overall quality is on point, this is something i could drink every day, although the hop profile leans a little summery and warm weather to me, really dug this, as did my colleague, top notch!

Can pour- clear pale lemony yellow with foamy white head leaving significant lacing. Nose is tropical fruit with a bit of citrus. Taste follows with more of the same leading into a mild bitterness that lingers on a dryish finish.

Can from Uptown Market.
Crystal clear light yellow with a large white head with good retention and lacing this looks great. The nose is dominated by Strata, with a large tropical fruit character- papaya, lychee, melon, along with Mosaic citrus notes. Light juicy notes, also from the Mosaic. No malt. The palate opens bitter and clean with a bright, fruity punch, a blend of papaya, lychee, mango, melon and citrus. Bright, pleasant, fragrant, fruity, and not as pungent as the Beachwood version. Drying, clean, bitter finish, with a lingering blend of fruits. Tasty, just a hair watery.

Sweet tropical hoppy fruity and piney mosaic-dank nose on this one! Taste follows with a tropical hoppy and slightly nutty, hoppy bitter finish. Clean, but not as balanced and piney as the Beachwood version. Still pretty good.
