Another next wave West Coast IPA with the Aussie/New Zealand hops. I appreciate these hops. They bring the pleasant berry and passion fruit flavors. They tend to be toasty and prickly, with pleasant fruit flavors. This one has all that. Less toasty and prickly than usual. Pine and rosemary. Blueberry, raspberry, cranberry, cassis. Honey, mango, and passion fruit. It’s a great flavor profile, but it lacks the pop and texture of others in this style.

Clear. Clear is good,leaving high carbonated hop water.It's OK to drink, but rating-wise it's something basic. On tap at Modern Times - Far West Lounge.

Sparkling gold w/ banana yellow interior capped by a finger of head and cave-pattern lacing. Explosive aromas of lemon zest, lemon rock candy, Fruit Stripe bubblegum, blueberry kush, white grape, and diesel. Like Heath Ledger serenading Julia Stiles, they brought out the whole f*cking band for this one. Taste is more subdued/mellow, and it leans heavily on blueberry, grapefruit, and lime. The feel sorta falls flat w/ some gentle astringency up front, oily hop notes mid-palate, and not much on the back end. A pleasure to try, and worth the price of admission for the perfume-like aromatics.

 

Big fan. Hoppy and flavorful upfront. Smooth and easy on the back. Drink 2 live a little, yo.

Went to grab a 6-pack and a few cans at Windmill Farms and came home with 29 beers, spending way too much money. Untappd description was “WCIPA to celebrate Beachwood Brewing's 11th anniversary with a smattering of ultra aromatic hops! Aromas of dank pine, blueberry, & lemon.” Hops mentioned were Mosaic, Nelson Sauvin, Mosaic Cryo and Pahto. The malt was Canadian pilsner.”

Poured a pale-to-medium yellow clear color with 2-to-3 fingers of frothy white head. Could see a few bubble streams coming up from the bottom of the class. Outstanding uneven lacing. Very good retention. (Sight - 4.25)

Smelled a nice mix of the Mosaic and Nelson. Also floral, bubblegum, pine, blueberry, peach, stone fruit, mango, tangerine and rose blossom. Just as good from the can. (Smell - 4.25)

Tasted about as good as the nose. Mosaic dominated, much more than the smell, but Nelson was still there. In order got Mosaic, floral, pine, peach, stone fruit, rose blossom, bubblegum, blueberry, Nelson, tangerine and mango. (Taste - 4.00)

Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Long finish. (Feel - 4.25)

Just a really good IPA. Really smooth for what it was. (Overall - 4.25)

This one is like “now” Tiger Woods. You know, post bad boy and with reconstructed legs and whatnot. Like, we all know Tiger was once a Great White with killer instinct; but now he’s more or less a colorful Beta - that can still kick some ass here and there - but he’s no longer the king of the ocean. Electrohop is good, but like a lot of things in existence, it’s still not all that special. So, I suggest trying one and just to simply “be.”
