From: Windmill Farms in Del Cerro (San Diego), Calif.

Consumed: Sept. 20, 2022

Snuck over to Windmill Farms to pick up some Aurora Hoppyalis and The Lightest One, and a few others single cans. Bine & Vine’s website called this “A soulful new West Coast India Pale Ale brewed in collaboration with our friends at HOKA to show some love to our growing So Cal running community. Poured a pale-to-medium yellow clear color with 3-to-4 fingers of rocky white head. Could see plenty of bubbles coming up from the bottom and sides of the glass, kind of reminiscing a snow globe. Perfect spiderweb foamy lacing. World-class foamy retention. (Sight - 4.75)
Smelled Mosaic, floral, rose blossom, mixed berry, passion fruit, Citra, grapefruit, pine, peach and mango. Smelled just as good from the can. (Smell - 4.25)
Tasted Mosaic, bubblegum, floral, rose blossom, mixed berry, bitter pine, earthy malt, passion fruit, Citra, grapefruit, peach and hints of mango. Lots of flavor for a 5.8 pct. ABV IPA. (Taste - 4.00)
Light body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Abrupt, bitter finish. (Feel - 4.00)
This was a solid beer. Just an outstanding lighter IPA. (Overall - 4.25)

16oz can into a pint glass.
L: Pours radiant yellow 98% clear, a thin rounded eggshell white head w good retention, VG carbo, VG lacing w broken sheeting. Attractive looking.
S: Citrus, citrus rind, pineapple, mango, papaya, a hint of honey, pastry dough, lightly floral.
T: Lightly sweet caramel malts, bright hops, light honey, a sensation of bread, a hint of yeast, a light trace of hard fruity candy, overall lightly sweet w very little aftertaste though there is a distant citrus zest linger that really hangs on. This I like.
F: Gently crisp, semi-juicy w a med to medium-light body w a fast, moderately dry finish.
O: A bright tasting & very EZ drinking and lighter bodied hop frwd WCIPA that really satisfies. Lightly sweet, crisp and crushable with 5.8% ABV. It's a great beer after running. I just ran a few miles! and it is outstanding in its style.
