I had this beer on-tap at the brewery in a tulip.
Appearance: rich dark brown hue, almost black, with no evident haze to the body. Head is a thin layer of tan foam. Nice!
Smell: sweet and a bit caramelly. Not a lot of complexity, but the aroma is nice.
Taste: caramelly and a bit sweet with a somewhat drier, more astringent finish. Not super complex, but still a very tasty, classic schwarzbier.
Mouthfeel: medium-light body with a decent carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: I actually find this to be pretty balanced and refreshing. Good to learn of another decent schwarzbier in town!
