Poured from 16oz can into a dimpled mug. Canned 5/5/25; this can is listed at 7.8% ABV.
Appearance: pale yellow-orange hue with a finger of frothy ivory foam and a nice lace left on the glass.
Smell: sweet malt with a lovely combination of stone fruit and mango. This one hits nice.
Taste: the stone fruit is more forward in the flavor than in the aroma, but this plays nicely with the sweet malt. The tropical elements fade to the back a little bit but they are still there. A very nice beer indeed.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a big carbonation and a very satisfying creaminess.
Overall: an absolutely solid hazy from Obelisk. I've never had one of their IPAs before, but now I'll be keeping an eye out!

We understand the team here is still getting up to speed, so the can comes with a note that the beer was brewed and packaged at a contract brewery in Portland --Sin Marca.
Canned 12/6. As advertised, a hazy light amber with a thick-ish, rapidly fading, head. Nose is rather subdued stone fruit with a hint of floral. Taste is mainline IPA, good balance, nothing amiss. Finish is clean with the same fruit taste of the first sips. The 8% ABV is well tempered, which gives this a good mark for drinkability. There are so many IPAs out here, riding above the crowd is a challenge for anyone.
Astoria has, for its size, a significant number of breweries, so the local market is well-served. We wish these guys well, building a local base and getting some traction in distribution.
