really solid, all the beer in here was, this is old worldy but also modern in some ways, the refinement is amazing, the hops are bold but traditional, and i think the lagering is expert, i was impressed with this and think these guys are going to be a household name in the northwest as soon as they get up and running on their own system, great spot, clever beers, apparently well connected. this is blonde and real light looking and darn near perfectly clear under an inch or more of fizzy bubbles collecting. the nose and taste are noble hops to me, grassy more than zesty or spicy, dried herbal character, hay and straw, and real fresh malt that seems a little less european and full of terroir, which is part of what makes this for me, true to style but distinct because of the grain. bready and baked while still being light and earthy, even kind if retaining a little raw element too i guess. the hops bring some early citrus, some middle palate honeysuckle and green tea, and some later on bitterness that aids in the crispness this finishes with. the lagering is drying and complete and the yeast seems old worldy, sort of ambient or free rise or open ferment vibes to it, rustic in that way, and this ends up being sort of sneaky complex for something so drinkable. the carbonation is glorious and the freshness stands out. impressive offering here, this should do really well for them. i would drink it regularly if it were available where i live, really smart and intentional recipe and very professionally done.

Light gold color, almost looks like a light beer. Sweet, malty aroma. Flavor is more complex and well-rounded than I was expecting-- some bitterness but not overwhelming. Slightly hoppy but not too much. Astringent. Full-bodied. Decent.
