Poured from 16oz can into a dimpled mug. Canned 2/3/25.
Appearance: golden hue with a tiny dash of haze, some nice effervescence, and a finger of frothy ivory foam atop.
Smell: richly malty with a wide spectrum of aromas: a slightly astringent graininess, a slightly toasty sweet maltiness, and a bit of biscuity character, too. The biscuit I’m not so much into, but it kinda works in the broader picture being painted here.
Taste: a similarly broad malt character in the flavor, with the added dimension of soft, grassy hops up front and just the right amount of bitterness on the finish. Good!
Mouthfeel: medium body with a good carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: this beer has really started to grow on me. It’s pretty hearty for a 4.5% pilsner, and it has a lot of character. Definitely worth checking out!
