Poured into a Fremont small snifter. Pours a very dark mahogany brown, appearing opaque in the glass with a one finger milk chocolate head that dissipates to patches with slight lacing. Aroma of dark toasted malt, cinnamon, cocoa and peanut butter. Flavor is dark toasted malt, bakers chocolate, peanut butter and cinnamon. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess. A medium bodied milk stout that delivers on the promised adjuncts; the chocolate and peanut butter are in good harmony. Light touch of cinnamon, which was mostly noticeable in the aroma. Since it had dessert style additions and specifically says "sweet stout" on the front label, I hesitated a bit before buying, expecting a sugar bomb, which are not my favorite stouts any more. To my pleasant surprise, this has a relatively dry finish, which enhances the peanut taste that leans towards unsweetened, fresh peanut butter. It also avoids the light astringency that seems to accompany peanut butter porters and stouts. One of the nicest peanut butter stouts I've had so far. Chocolate is somewhat muted, but present as is the cinnamon. Nicely done and quite quaffable.
