16oz can
Pours about a finger of brown head into my nonic. Retention is decent. Lacing is good. Body is pitch black. Looks nice.
Nose is roasty and chocolatey. Seems to be a little sweetness, but with some bitterness as well, balanced. Smells great.
Roast slaps you in the face on the first sip, way too high for my liking. Dear god that is roasty. Some might like this, but I find this downright hard to drink.
Medium carbonation. Body is very light, drinks like a 5% beer. Bitterness is mild, but pretty damn bone dry. Overall the mouthfeel is somewhat abrasive.
Drinkability is abysmal.
Usually the palate adapts and beers like this get better over time, this just keeps getting worse. It’s one step away from being a campfire, almost didn’t finish it.
