16oz can, canned 3 months ago
Pours nearly two finger of off-white head into my Willi. Retention is average but a sliver of head lingers for most of the glass. Lacing is void. Body is a deep mahogany, low visibility, with a healthy nucleation. Looks ok, a little dark to be a Vienna.
Nose is slightly malty, whispers of toast, and a faint astringency. Smells alright.
Flavor is odd - some malt, kinda watery, with an almost tart character to it. Bland.
Very light-bodied. Carbonation is relatively high, with a significant minerality. Maybe a touch of perceived sweetness, but finishes quite dry. Bitterness is mild, but the rest of the mouthfeel comes through somewhat abrasive.
Drinkability is not very good.
Overall bland, with a sharp edge to it. I don’t care for this much at all.
