Pours black with two fingers of tan foam. Aroma is firm sticky & resiny hops, with mild herbal hops inter-mixed. Toasty and roasty malts with mild caramel establish the dark side of the beer, bringing the hoppy opening to balance. Flavor profile is sticky, resin, and herbal hops. Caramel, roasty, and toasty malts mix with mild bready malts to bring balance and darkness to the sticky hop start. As a whole, it's sticky, but smooth. Mouth feel is medium in thickness with a soft, creamy texture. A little late grit is the only speed bump. Overall, fuzzy, sticky, smooth black IPA. Old school sticky hops right out front, with good balance on the backend.
